Thor Bronze Sculpture
(God of Thunder)

below is the work-in-progress for the first week of June, 2008


Thor's detailed wing for his helmet	Thor's hand is sculpted on to his hammer

The beginning of building his massive back	The head; arm with hammer is attached to the body

Here I use a spatula to spread hot clay in order to attach the head to the neck	I will be using Dorian Yates as part of my reference for the physique. Yates has a very thick build that will be great for a Thor model.

Here I work with different head poses	So for this head pose will work. The hair will be added once the upper muscles have been defined.

The arms will need additional mass	The sculpt is far from being complete... The sculpture will still need hundreds of hours before I am satisfied.


My goal here will be to emulate some of the ideas used in previous concepts. If any viewer has a suggestion, please drop me an email handsofcaesar@gmail.com before I complete the sculpture.
